Through hourglasses that contain grains of complacency

Sweep my mentality with greed again starting papers
And tongues tie into knots when
Judgment leaves many speechless standing before me
I have seen you previously, as infinity binds my sight to repetition
And this cadaverous flesh it only chains my soul in glass
As crystal tears seek sight so pure, so pure
And jostling existential nothingness between tongue and cheek
My mouth births passion through spoken word, spoken word
Blanketing minds and warming cold thoughts
Of lust having savage sex on words
And hammers beat poems on syllable and bleeding through porous lips
As thoughts become vapor whispers, leaving through breath
Quiet is this mind that belongs, belongs, belongs to God
I am awake in a sleeping slumber and I
See lifetimes mock war and personal gain
Universes leave life at doorsteps to follow pain
Enjoying their lashes of insurrection and laughing at sleepless nights
You see we poets don't really sleep, we never sleep
Arteries keep pumping euphemisms as spasms
Shake rhythms through timeless chatter
And my teeth clench to swallow nourishing words of insight
Regurgitating to share fetal knowledge as wombs dance to fires
Of ritual unseen

Understanding bears fruit of dreams
Understanding bears fruit of dreams holding hands in love
And I, I am wounded
With this passion that kills a common existence
And my poems, my poems beckon me to set sail on uncharted seas
Through storms I embrace waves tilting my equilibrium
Squeezing my heart to auction and make brain space as infinity writes
Eyes blink bringing dreams from darkness adhering to wants
Children laugh, children laugh, children
Laugh and so do I in grown-ups clothing
You see time has stopped
