The day I started writing poetry
Was the same day that I met you
All the thoughts running through my head
Are now like a birds eye view
The way you lifted that magazine
Made me feel like going to church
Walked two doors down to the barbershop
And said "Brother man give me the works"
Driven by a wild desire
Life is so surreal
I used to want to ride beside her
But now I'll take the wheel
Roll through good to meet you
Cash drawer out the door
I'll pay you back when I'm famous
Roll through good to meet you
Cash drawer out the door
I'll pay you back when I'm famous
Ain't nothing come for free
That ain't hyperbole
I'll put your name on the guest list darling
Driven by a wild desire
Life is so surreal
I used to want to ride beside her
But now I'll take the wheel
Roll through good to meet you
Cash drawer out the door
I'll pay you back when I'm famous
Ain't nothing come for free
That ain't hyperbole
I'll put your name on the guest list darling
